Well, things have been pretty hard around here lately. I know that some people can blog/write/reach out during the hard, but I'm just not one of those people. What little energy I have has been going towards the family. We're trying to take advantage of these last few weeks of sun by being outside in between school, tutoring, and homework. These pictures say to me that we are trying, we are not curling up into a ball and giving up, we're having fun in spite of it all.
For our one year anniversary in Peru, we took the kids to Divercity. It is an amazing place that simulates a little city for the kids. They have to work real jobs to earn money that they can then use to go to school or do fun activities. I've seen places like this in the States, but on a much smaller scale. I was really impressed and the kids loved every minute of it.
The bank where each kid has to open an account.
Day at the beach. Peru is a beautiful country and we just forget that sometimes because we let ourselves get stuck in Lima.
