A package from a thoughtful cousin with brown sugar and chocolate chips equals our first true chocolate chip cookies in Peru.

Sounds like an awesome weekend! The cookie dough looks delicious, I'm glad the brown sugar worked out! And Tyler looks absolutely adorable in her princess dress. Lots of love!

Hi, I should probably first introduce myself before I go off on a spiel, My name is Rebecka and my family are missionaries in Loja, Ecuador. Hi neighbor!

I didn't get past your first page until I felt we should connect. I have children who are also struggling to adjust, especially in school. I could have written several of your posts.

Anyhow, if you would like to chat, please send me an email givepraygo@gmail.com, maybe we can put our heads together and think of some ways to help our kiddos.

For instance, here in Loja, being called white girl is a complement. So is being called black girl, and even fatty. I get lovingly called gordita all the time, and here, the white girls are all princesses. In the rural areas they even get fed better (sad. terribly sad, but true) Who knows if this is true in Peru, but maybe it's possible?
